Open Universities Australia (OUA) is Australia’s leading online education company. Owned by seven Australian public universities, OUA has been in existence since 1993.

OUA is transforming its business model from being an online reseller of higher education units and programs of university providers, to being the operator of a multi-sided platform in a digital marketplace. This role has been specifically designed to support academic engagement opportunities within an environment of change and evolution across the academic providers’ needs/expectations and the platform’s maturity.

Reporting into the Head of Providers & Portfolio, you will primarily be responsible for business development and improving the account management engagement with the Universities in order to support the growth of the product portfolio in-line with OUA’s vision and strategic plan. what this would entail is to ensure new units and degrees are developed, develop strategic relationships internally and externally to help shape OUA’s unit and course offerings. The role also involves Successful product management from discussion of degree portfolio through to sales and marketing.

To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrable experience either in a business development or account management position in the tertiary education sector. Engaging/influencing both internal and external stakeholders in a commercial setting with an ability to successfully manage competing demands. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of the current trends in curriculum, course planning and delivery in the University sector. Any prior experience of working with a platform business would be highly desirable.
