Salary: $69,148 - $93,830 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation

We are seeking a Research Assistant/Laboratory Manager research program of Associate Professor Christopher McDevitt within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Peter Doherty Institute. The research program seeks to elucidate the role of metal ions in host-pathogen interaction using biochemical, microbiological and immunological approaches and involves close collaborations with the University of Queensland, University of Technology Sydney and La Trobe University. This position will work across the breadth of bacterial pathogenesis research in the group and support delivery of these projects. This role, Research Assistant/Laboratory Manager, will report to Associate Professor Christopher McDevitt and will be responsible for the day to day management of the laboratory, management of the budget and purchasing, and support the research of scientists working on projects involving Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus
