The School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a research-productive School with 40 academic staff, two major undergraduate programs (Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology), two coursework Masters Programs (Master of Information Technology, Master of Enterprise Architecture) and an active research higher degrees culture, including over 80 PhD students. The School continues to rank as one of the highest in Australia for Teaching Quality. The School of ICT produces skilled graduate and postgraduate professionals who are in demand and at the forefront of information and emerging technologies. The School has an outstanding research profile in ICT with particular strengths in Artificial Intelligence, Database Systems, Big Data, Information Systems, Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, Network Security, Information Systems, Imaging and Visualisation, and is closely associated with the Griffith University Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems. These are continuing full time positions, based at the Gold Coast or Nathan campus.
The School is seeking three innovative and energetic Senior Lecturers in the area(s) of Business Information Systems, Computer Science and/or Network or Cyber Security to contribute to and grow in this high-performing teaching and research environment. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to teach effectively in one or more of these areas. The appointee will contribute to research and scholarship in their field and to the development of the profession.
The successful applicant must have a doctoral degree in the Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or IT Management or closely related field and have demonstrated leadership and experience in teaching and research expertise in relevant aspects of the field.
Senior Lecturer, Level C: $111,104 - $128,113 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $129,993 - $149,893 per annum.
