Work Integrated Learning in the School of Media and Communication
Work Integrated Learning at RMIT includes internships and placements, partnered projects, and WIL in simulated environments. The School of Media and Communication boasts a dynamic industry program and a wide range of partners involved in student WIL. The School's WIL team works with stakeholders to coordinate WIL and associated activities which may also extend to student and graduate employment and employability initiatives such as job offers for students, industry and student events and other industry engagement activities.
The role and your responsibilities
The Administration Officer, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) provides expert advice and high-level administration and organisational services for internships, placements and work-based learning across media, communication and design disciplines. The position operates within a team framework and interfaces with a wide range of stakeholders including academics, students, industry partners, RMIT staff and departments. The Administrative Officer, WIL will be an active participant in service improvement initiatives and has a strong service orientation. The role will assist in the development and implementation of systems to support staff and students in achieving WIL objectives.
Skill and Experience required
The successful appointee will have highly developed client relations and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will preferably have an understanding of the role of Work Integrated Learning in furthering graduate outcomes; and highly developed administration skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise, monitor, and evaluate, to meet the needs of a busy office in a multi-faceted role.
