The Role and Your Responsibilities

The position on offer can either be at the Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor Level.

The Senior Lecturer will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School and make a significant contribution to the delivery of programs. You will be actively involved in research, consulting and other professional activities as well as developing, engaging in and leading high quality research projects that are aligned with the University's research focus areas. The Senior Lecturer will have an important research leadership role in embedding their research expertise into the life of the School and will be required to develop high-quality, productivity-driven networks across RMIT and with local, national and global, internal and external partners.

The Associate Professor will provide leadership and foster excellence in the teaching and research efforts of the School, within the University, and with the community, professional, commercial and industrial sectors. You will be responsible for providing original, innovative and distinguished contributions to the School's programs and will make a significant contribution to teaching and learning in the discipline with the aim of improving learning outcomes for students. The Associate Professor will drive the planning and strategic direction of the School, taking on academic leadership roles involving participation in various committees within the School, College and University.

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for these opportunities you must hold a PhD or equivalent in relevant field and be eligible for membership of AASW. For the specific requirements for each role please refer to key selection criteria in the relevant position description attached.
