Salary: $55,113 - $60,852 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation

The Melbourne Veterinary School at The University of Melbourne seeks an enthusiastic, motivated and people-focused veterinary nurse to join our dynamic team. U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital is the School's veterinary teaching hospital, located at the university's Werribee campus. U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital serves more than 20,000 cases per year. The hospital is ASAVA accredited, and also is a major component of the School's facilities for our AVMA, RCVS and AVBC accredited DVM teaching program. Our Small Animal Medicine Service provides optimal standards of nursing care and administrative support to Small Animal Medicine patients and clients.

The position will be primarily required to undertake and perform all tasks and duties associated with Small Animal Medicine nursing in a timely and proficient manner, whilst upholding the optimal standard of veterinary nursing care; displaying professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to learn new skills and tasks. All veterinary nurses are required to oversee student-patient interactions, in conjunction with the veterinarians. Working within the multidisciplinary hospital the duties will incorporate all aspects of veterinary practice.
