This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior research leader who can further develop an established research program while also contributing to ACIAR’s broader research portfolio management. The Agribusiness Research Program Manager (RPM) will actively contribute to improving policy, seeking opportunities for market and institutional arrangements to improve the lives and livelihoods of smallholders in developing countries and to foster more equitable and sustainable value chains.
You will be responsible for commissioning and managing a coherent portfolio of research-for-development projects, engaging with a range of market actors, including the private and public sectors, and civil society groups to better support men and women smallholder producers and traders (including fisheries and forestry). The position of RPM is pivotal in ACIAR’s distinctive partnership brokering model of research investment in developing countries.
Please be advised while ACIAR is supportive of flexible working arrangements, this position requires face-to-face contact at our headquarters in Canberra (Bruce) and extensive international and domestic travel is required as part of the role.
This is a non-ongoing specified task opportunity located in Bruce, ACT, for up to 5 years, with the possibility of extension.
