We maintain extensive relationships with industry through the Employer of Choice program, which provides students with structured employment experience in industry settings and preferential access to employers.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Administrative Officer, Industry Liaison is responsible for the management of the Schools Employer of Choice Program. The position is also responsible for liaising with existing industry partners and foster new industry partnerships. It is also responsible for the organisation of the School's key industry events. These events include the International Women's Day, careers days, industry seminars and the Industry and Research awards night.
The position will work closely with the other areas of the University in supporting Careers and Employment, opportunities for the School.
Skills and Experience Required
You will have the ability to network and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and a high level of computer literacy - word processing, presentation software, email, internet and correspondence management databases and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new IT environments. You will also have highly-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to be professional, tactful, discrete and courteous at all times. Furthermore, your ability to respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations will be essential to your success in this role.
