  • Salary range: Level A $67,352 - $91,397 p.a. (Minimum starting salary for appointee with PhD will be $91,397 p.a.)

The team

The position is within one of the largest and most internationally reputable human lactation research groups. It is situated in the School of Molecular Sciences and has labs at Physiology and King Edward Memorial Hospital.

About the opportunity

This Research Associate role will be to conduct experimental pumping studies on lactating women. This involves close interactions with mothers and infants on a daily basis. The associate will be expected to set up pump protocols, acquire, download and analyse data.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant degree qualification, experience and specialist expertise in the lactation field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact with diverse age groups
  • Methodical approach to problem solving
  • Capacity to liaise effectively and relate well to research staff and students
  • Ability to analyse and interpret pilot data

About you

We are looking for a highly motivated and suitably experienced individual that displays exceptional communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to work both independently and co-operatively as part of a team.
