LOCATION: Melbourne Burwood Campus

ABOUT THE ROLE The Lecturer will be required to teach, undertake research and publish in the area of food innovation. This will include:

  • Teaching in the area of food sustainability, food preparation and manufacturing, food design and food packaging at the undergraduate and postgraduate level that is consistent with the University's principles of teaching, learning and the student experience
  • An emerging reputation in research and scholarship, through publication or exhibition in quality outlets
  • Demonstrating excellent scholarly learning and teaching at the undergraduate level (including for example in the cloud and in clinical settings)
  • Making a contribution to projects within the University

ABOUT YOU

  • PhD in food science, nutrition or a relevant field (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to the Faculty's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs in a manner that influences, motivates, and inspires students to learn
  • Ability to present research seminars and publish in reputed international journals
  • Ability to contribute to the development and maintenance of partnerships with professional associations and (the food sector and) with domestic educational institutions (and industry)
  • Interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the staff of the Faculty and School and with other members of the University
