The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Lecturer is expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in the discipline of Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering focusing on Network Engineering, in particular Core Optical Network design, Telecommunications Traffic Engineering and Network Security and Privacy. This position will be expected to undertake high quality research in the designated fields preferably in collaboration with industry, including HDR and supervision of project students. The incumbent will be expected to participate in the academic activities of the School and the College and to pursue a program of professional development consistent with the strategic goals of the School.
Skills & Experience Required
You will possess a proven record of academic and/or professional achievement in Telecommunications Engineering with proven expertise in Core Optical Network design, Telecommunications Traffic Engineering and Network Security and Privacy. You will also have demonstrated experience in teaching at higher education level resulting in high student satisfaction. Furthermore, your proven ability to undertake high impact research in the designated field resulting in high quality journal articles in recognized international journals will be essential to your success in this role.
