Property Services has in excess of 100 staff and has the responsibility to operate, maintain and enhance the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University, oversee construction projects and ensure the provision of physical facilities services. The Group has an operating budget of over $50M, attracts revenue of over $9M and current capital programs are significant. RMIT's property portfolio is valued at over $1B and includes approximately 110 buildings spread across all of RMIT's campuses and sites.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
The Project Officer is responsible in providing program management system administration and governance support across the Melbourne Metro Rail Project (MMRP) and Sustainable Urban Precincts Program (SUPP) to ensure that the project outcomes are achieved, on time and on budget. It will also be critical that the project officer works proactively to ensure appropriate levels of reporting and communication are in place to ensure university stakeholders are suitably engaged as works progress in order to ensure operational impacts are minimised.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in quality systems management and administration of performance based infrastructure projects (PPP's or large conventionally procured public sector projects) will be highly regarded. You will also have experience in contract administration including liaising with a diverse team of consultants, contractors as well as internal peers and stakeholders. Furthermore, you will have significant experience establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships and effective networks with internal and external stakeholders. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated experience producing comprehensive reports, recommendations and briefing papers will be imperative to your success in this role.
