Reporting to the Provost, the Executive Director leads a team of skilled professionals and works closely with the University's Senior Executive to drive the annual planning and review process; undertake analysis of strategic options, new courses, partnerships and business cases; coordinate performance data collection, analysis and dissemination; manage responses to government and other external stakeholders; manage the University's rankings submissions and processes; conduct academic, program and organisational reviews; design predictive models to manage student load planning; identify opportunities for benchmarking; and provide analysis of sector trends and impact of legislative changes.
The Executive Director will bring: extensive experience in shaping and leading strategy, planning and performance; demonstrated success in implementing and managing a business intelligence function; high level analytical thinking and problem solving skills; and previous success in supporting data-driven decision making by executive committees. The successful applicant will be a confident and persuasive communicator, exemplify sound ethical and professional standards and ensure best practice in support of fairness, accountability, compliance and customer service. Previous high level experience in higher education or public sectors would be highly regarded.
This full-time position is offered for a five year term and preferably based in Hobart.
