Overview:
The School of Applied Psychology currently has 51 academic staff and a number of research fellows across two campuses (Gold Coast and Mount Gravatt), whose teaching and research interests span organisational, clinical, cognitive, social, developmental, forensic, health and experimental psychology. The position can be primarily based at either the Mount Gravatt or Gold Coast campus, however the successful applicant will be expected to do some teaching at their non-resident campus as required.

This is a continuing, full time position based at the Mount Gravatt or Gold Coast campus.

The role:
The Senior Lecturer, Psychology will have a strong research profile in psychology, be highly committed to teaching excellence, and will actively and effectively supervise Honours, master's and PhD projects. This is a research focussed position and the appointee will be required to undertake and lead research in their chosen area of expertise, and contribute to the School's research outcomes including publication and grant success. The Senior Lecturer, Psychology will mentor and inspire junior academics and research staff and promote and support a research culture. This position will have a reduced teaching load, in which the Senior Lecturer, Psychology will actively contribute toward administrative service and course coordination within the School.

The person:
The appointee will have a PhD in Psychology and demonstrated ability to supervise fourth year and postgraduate research students. The appointee will also have a proven track record in conducting and publishing quality research with national and international impact and attracting internal and external research grant funding. Knowledge, skills and leadership in teaching and curriculum development at the tertiary education level, and a proven ability in the administration of University courses is essential along with excellent interpersonal skills and readiness to contribute to both the School and University.

Salary range:
Senior Lecturer, Level C: $109,462 - $126,220 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $128,072 - $147,678 per annum.
