The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Industry Fellow Indigenous Enterprise and Innovation will have an important leadership role in embedding their industry and community expertise into the life of the School especially through the development of Indigenous curriculum and Indigenous business networks. The incumbent will make a significant contribution to the delivery of academic programs and to be actively involved in teaching, research, consulting and other professional activities. The incumbent will be required to develop high-quality, networks across RMIT and with local, national and global, internal and external partners. They will be expected to maintain and advance their scholarly, professional and/or research capabilities.

Skills and Experience Required
To be considered for this position you must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander of Australia as per the Australian Government's three-part working definition of Aboriginality. You will have demonstrated experience of working successfully within Indigenous communities and extensive knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural sensitivities and knowledge's particularly in the area of entrepreneurship, enterprise and innovation with demonstrated current professional practice of at least two years. You will be required to develop and maintain purposeful strategic relationships with government agencies and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peak bodies and organisations regarding Indigenous enterprise and innovation. Facilitate mutual understanding and respect between RMIT, Indigenous government agencies, Chambers of Commerce, Indigenous Businesses and the Indigenous community.

Mandatory: A relevant tertiary qualification or extensive industry experience with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community in a business or similar environment
