The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Research Fellow position is funded by a grant from DST Group - Maritime Division. The incumbent will work with the supervisor to support DST Group's contribution to the future submarine program by conducting high quality research, development and management as part of the DST Group Submarine Dynamics and Control team. The position will be based 100% at DST Group premises in Melbourne, where the scholar will be given an office and laboratory access. The postdoctoral researcher will not be permitted to work outside of DST Group laboratories without specific permission of DST Group staff.
Skills & Experience Required
You must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain defence security clearance. You will have proven academic and/or industry experiences in dynamic, sensing and control, mechatronics systems design and programming for engineering applications. Furthermore, an established track record in publishing high quality journal articles in ERA referenced journals and conferences and demonstrated research experience in mechatronics systems for real world applications will be essential to your success in this role.
A PhD degree in one of the following discipline areas: Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or other related disciplines.
This role will require satisfactory confirmation of a Working with Children Check.
