The College of Science, Engineering and Health (SEH) comprises of four Schools delivering a broad range of programs in science, engineering, health and technology at apprenticeship, certificate, bachelor, masters and PhD levels. Many programs articulate between vocational and higher education, creating pathways for further study. The School of Engineering comprises of the previous schools of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering; Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering; and Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The Lecturer - Industry Fellow contributes to the teaching efforts of the School, within the area of Engineering Enterprise Management and is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate, Masters and Graduate Diploma programs, onshore and offshore, and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, professional and/or research capabilities.
Reporting directly to the Discipline Leader, the Lecturer - Industry Fellow will actively promote the Engineering Enterprise Management activities by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. You will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation. Teaching may include intensive delivery at an off-shore location including, but not limited to, Singapore.
Skills & Experience required
To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field. You will have experience in engineering enterprises, including manufacturing and demonstrated professional practice within the previous two years. You will have an emerging track record and recognition within your profession or discipline evidenced by industry links, or publications, development of new research initiatives, or competitive research funding. In addition, you will have demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.
